November 24, 1938, Twin Falls, Idaho - February 29, 2024, West Jordan, Utah.

Wally was the second child of Weston O. Dennis and Clara Maude Satterwhite. He graduated from Hayley High in Sun Valley, Idaho in 1957.

Wally was an avid skier on the Sun Valley ski team. He loved the rodeo and rode saddle bronc and barrel raced with his fleet footed steed Skeeter. He loved to hunt and camp and spent a lot of time in Southern Idaho during and after high school. He developed a love for the outdoors, freedom and fresh air.

Shortly after graduation he was drafted and served in the 2nd Armored Division "Hell on Wheels'' at Fort Hood, Texas and served 14 months at Ferris Barracks in Erlangen, Germany, in the 4th Armored Division "Name Enough" before returning to his life in Southern Idaho.

His life was filled with many adventures and love. He met Jolene Silcox at the 39 Club in Salt Lake City, and they married on February 13, 1975, and started a family. Three children followed soon after twin daughters Debbie and Christie and 3 years later a son Timothy.

He worked for Dana Automotive as a district and then Regional Sales Manager for over 20 years.

Wally always tried to fill his life with family and fun including some of his favorites; snowmobiling, camping, fishing and Dutch Oven cooking and was a member of the International Dutch Oven Society (IDOS) in the later years of his life.

After he lost his wife in March of 1993, he met and married Judi Reetz in 1998; they divorced after some time and have remained good friends through the years.

He lived his last years spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children Debbie (Robert) Curtis, Christie (Brett) Burrell, Timothy and eight beloved grandchildren: Marissa Dennis, Ariana (John) Smalley, Austin Curtis, Megan Curtis, Nikolai Curtis, Adilyn Dennis, Breanna Curtis, Weston Dennis and two great-grandchildren Sawyer, Micheal, his third great-grandchild due to arrive in May of this year and nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by beloved wife Jolene, parents Weston and Maude, his sister Erla, his brother-in-law Gene, niece Beverly and many aunts, uncles and cousins from the Dennis and Satterwhite clans.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 6th, 2024, between 6 and 8pm and Thursday, March 7th from 10-10:45 am. Services will follow on the 7th at 11am. McDougall Funeral home on 4330 S. Redwood Road in Taylorsville will be facilitating the Services. Wally will be laid to rest next to Jolene Silcox at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S Sandy, Utah.
