Catherine Lynn Anderson

Catherine Lynn Anderson passed away on May 29, 2026, at 77 years old in her home in Taylorsville. She had faced heart complications for over a decade with dignity and love.

Cathy's last wish was to see her grandson graduate, and she made it all the way to the day.

Cathy found her passion in raising and nurturing children, both her own and her communities. There are many that call her mom or grandma. She shared a life of love and care with those she took care of.

Cathy lives on in her children Troy (Elisa) and Tara (Samuel); with her nephews Brandon and Raymond (Mellani); and with her grandchildren Trista (Zandalee), Telsi (Aaron), Tanessa, Tyler (Hellen), Taysia (Zach), Landon, Shauncee, Cassie, and Elissiah. There is so much love to be found in the family that she created, and her children are just a fraction of those she helped raise.

Cathy also lives within her sister Kim, her aunt Vicki, and her great-grandchildren Oakley (Ashlynn), Kamryn, Izzy, Junior, Taylynn, Sebastian, and Jasper. These loved ones have all found a home with Cathy at one time or in some form throughout the years because of her love for them.

Cathy is welcomed by loved ones in Heaven who preceded her in death, such as her father, Calvin; her stepfather, Jay; her mother, Emma; her brother, Cal; her brother, Michael; and her son, Shawn.

Cathy devoted so much of her life to her children, blood or otherwise, that she did not have much time for hobbies. When she did find time, she loved getting her nails done, clothes shopping, watching game shows and soap operas, cooking and hosting parties for family, and planning ways to share her love with others.

A celebration of life will be held at the Glenmoor Golf Course (9800 South, 4800 West, South Jordan, Utah 84095) on Sunday, June 14, 2026, between 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. All are welcome to attend.
