Carol Barker Graham died at home on December 2, 2025.
Carol was born December 4, 1944, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Russell and Erma M. Fisher Barker. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Carol graduated from Skyline High School and attended Westminster University for a time. On September 10, 1965, Carol married David N. Graham in the Salt Lake Temple.
David and Carol eventually settled and raised their seven children in the Bennion Taylorsville area of Salt Lake County. Carol spent many years working to support her family at a number of jobs - many of which were for the LDS Church. Carol was elated when she had the time and ability to attend classes at the Salt Lake Community College and further her education. Carol "quit the church" and retired from working in 2002. Carol served in many church callings through the years but will always be remembered for serving as the longtime ward librarian.
You could always pick Carol out of a crowd because of her love of color - she loved colorful flowers, clothing, and artwork. Carol also sought to uplift those with heavy burdens and was often found delivering flowers from her garden and/or uplifting messages and jokes to those in her neighborhood.
Carol learned to sew, crochet, and knit. Carol enjoyed sewing various projects from clothing to quilts and knitted many blankets and sweaters for family members and also provided knitted hats and hat adornments for charity. Carol was always most at home in her garden, listening to music, and watching old television shows and movies. Carol loved to let her imagination flow and write stories - she even published her own book. Carol developed a love for collecting stamps and dearly loved her friends at stamp club.
Carol is survived by her husband of 60 years, David; her children: Celeste, Stephanie, David, Jonathan (Ann), Melissa, Page, and Chevonne; her grandchildren: Jennifer, Juan Diego, McKenzee, Teanca, Alex, Daren, and Jason. Carol also fiercely loved her grandpups as they brought her great joy.
Carol was preceded in death by her beloved mother Erma and her siblings Dorothy (Smith) Mower, Clair "Junior" Smith, Dwaine Smith, and Glenice (Smith) Dahlquist.
The family would like to thank the hospice caregivers and Nona Whippy who provided care and comfort to Carol before her passing.
