Carol W. Anderson

December 18, 1936 — May 25, 2021

Carol W. Anderson returned to heaven peacefully on May 25, 2021 after spending the last few weeks conversing on FaceTime and being with her 5 children. Carol was born the youngest of six children on December 18, 1936 in Ogden, Utah to Lorenzo, “Ren”, Christian and Reta Ensign Williamsen. Carol graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber State College. For at time before she was married, she worked at the family business, Williamsen Truck Equipment. She was sealed to her husband Ruel E. Anderson on May 10, 1963 in the Logan, Utah LDS temple. Their first years of marriage were spent living in downtown Salt Lake City until they moved to Granger in 1973. They owned and lived in that home until 2019. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her entire life and served in various callings within the Relief Society and Primary. Mom and dad also fulfilled one of their desires to serve an LDS mission together serving in the SLC inner-city mission from 1999-2000. Family was a big part of her life and we remember many trips to Ogden to see grandma, cousins and aunts and uncles for holidays, birthdays and get togethers. She enjoyed seeing her siblings, and her Mom, and looked forward to spending time with them. She enjoyed being at home with her family and husband and making family memories at the Eden cabin. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, like her mother, and served there many years. She is survived by her children; Alan (Kristi), Gary (Debbie), Kevin, Diane (Wayne) Noren, and Debbie; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is survived by one brother, Larry Williamsen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ruel, her parents, her brothers Clair and Ensign and her two sisters, Joan and Elaine, her daughter Carol Michelle, and her grandchildren, Shaley & Hunter, and daughter-in-law Christi. Viewing and Funeral services will be held Monday, June 7, 2021 at McDougal Funeral Home located at 4330 S. Redwood Road. The viewing will be the same day from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with funeral services beginning at Noon. Interment at Elysian Burial Gardens in Millcreek. The family wishes to thank the staff at Summit Senior Living and Inspiration Hospice (thank you, Wendy!) for the care they provided mom in the last months of her accomplished life.
