Bonnie Rae Colby Jex, 84, passed away June 23, 2023 in West Valley City, Utah surrounded by her family.

Born June 2,1939 in Magna, Utah, daughter of Vee and Anna Leatha Colby. Married Gordon Wallace Jex November 12, 1975 in The Salt Lake Temple. Faithful member of the LDS church having served a mission in Texas and devotedly served in many church callings throughout her life. She attended LDS Business College and worked for many years as a teacher's aid for many years making a difference in the lives of many children during this time.

Survived by her children Jeffery L. Jex, Jeannie (Kevin) Erickson, Todd V. (Cheryl) Jex, 10 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren and her sister Barbara (Ronnie) Patterson as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Vee and Anna Leatha Colby; sister Annette Harris; her granddaughter Nicole Jex and her beloved husband Gordon.

Bonnie was dedicated to living her life in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ and was an example of goodness throughout her life.

 Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, June 29th, 6:00-8:00 pm at McDougal Funeral home, 4330 S Redwood Rd and again Friday, June 30th, 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the LDS chapel located at 7035 W Loch Ness Drive, West Valley City.  Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m also at the church.
