Beth Proctor Haarbrink

Our sweet, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026.

Beth was born on January 30, 1931, in Salt Lake City to Clarence and Elizabeth Garrick. She married the love of her life, Jan Haarbrink, in 1953. She loved to travel with her husband and spend time with her family. Most of her career was spent working at Mountain Bell, retiring after 42 years.

Beth is survived by her children Jan (Kathryn), Richard (Michelle), Sue, Marianne (Jim), Rodney (Laurie), 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Maria Warnas, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, and 2 brothers.

The family would like to give special thanks to Hali and Liz from Renew Hospice as well as the staff at Abbington Senior Living of Murray for their kindness and loving care for our mom.

While our hearts are heavy with loss we find comfort in the memories, lessons, and love that she leaves behind. Her legacy lives on in her family, the lives she touched, and the values she instilled in all those who loved and knew her.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah with a viewing prior to the services from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
