Benjamin Jared Parker Benjamin Jared Parker, a resident of Vernal, Utah, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011, after a 29 year battle with cancer. Benjamin was born June 30, 1976 in Charleston, South Carolina. He was an amazing, inspirational influence to all who knew him. He had a unique understanding of life and a thirst for knowledge. He had a great love for his family, friends, fly-fishing and his Heavenly Father. Benjamin had an incredible unwavering faith as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a light in the lives of all his loved ones. We ll never forget his kind heart and sense of humor. Benjamin is survived by his wife, Melissa Parker; son, Jordan Storer; as well as his parents, Steve and Carol Parker; brother, Travis Parker; sisters, Marcella Melton and Rebecca Smith. He was greatly cherished by his 22 nieces and nephews. Services will be held as follows: Viewing on Thursday September 29, 2011, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 30, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at the West Jordan Utah Oquirrh Point Stake Center, 6270 West 7000 South with a viewing at 12:00 p.m. Memorial Services will be held Monday, October 3, 2011, 5:00 p.m. at the Glines Chapel, 1270 West 1500 South, Vernal, Utah.
