Ben Stromberg peacefully returned home to his Heavenly Father on July 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Arnold Banks Stromberg, lovingly known as Ben, was born on February 1, 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Rulon and Dorothy Stromberg. Raised on a farm as the only boy among four sisters, Ben learned hard work and responsibility from an early age.
He began his higher education at Brigham Young University on a tennis scholarship, but paused his studies to serve his country. Ben proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1952 to 1956.
While attending Utah State University to study geology, he met the love of his life, Carol Rose. After graduating, Ben and Carol were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah Temple on September 24, 1959. Together, they were blessed with four extraordinary children.
Ben was a devoted father who coached hockey and baseball, took road trips to Yellowstone in the family's white station wagon, and joyfully supported countless dance performances and pageants.
He loved his work and continued his career until the age of 85-working kept him young! Ben had a gift for solving problems and always sought to contribute meaningfully wherever he could.
A man of deep faith and quiet strength, Ben served Jesus Christ with his whole heart. He and Carol served several missions together, including an inner Salt Lake City mission and a Membership Leader Support (MLS) mission. Most recently, Ben served in the St. George Red Cliffs Temple. He fulfilled many callings over the years, including in bishoprics and high councils, always striving to teach truth and serve with integrity.
Ben found great joy in the outdoors, especially when fishing and hunting with his best friend of over 45 years, Milt Dalley. He was an avid reader who devoured books by his favorite authors-Daniel Silva and James Patterson, who may now miss one of their most loyal fans.
He and Carol traveled the world together, creating cherished memories. One of his favorite adventures was an Alaskan cruise shared with all of their children and spouses in 2022.
Ben is joined by his parents and three of his sisters. He is survived by his wife, Carol, children, Scott (Cathy), Susan (Ted), Jeff (Jennifer), Dan (Laura), and many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
