Arlene Betty Shupe Legg

March 4, 1933 ~ February 19, 2023

Arlene Betty Shupe Legg, beloved wife, amazing mother, grandmother, and friend, returned home to her Father in Heaven on Sunday, February 19, 2023. Our hearts are broken but her spirit lives on.

Born in Salt Lake City, UT on March 4, 1933, she was the daughter of Irene and Walter Kendrick Shupe. She married Ezra Max Perry (divorced) and Gerald Emery (Bud) Jacobson (divorced) and later married her sweetheart, Phillip George Legg on April 11, 1992. They were married for 31 years until her passing.

Arlene was a trained beautician and an amazing seamstress. Her passion was pattern design and sewing. She spent endless hours sewing clothes for children and donated them to the LDS Church. They distributed them to children who were in need locally and around the world. She was faithful member of the LDS church throughout her life.

She traveled extensively with her husband and children over the years-she especially loved her Mexico trips and the trip she took to Spain with her daughter, Jodee. She had a wicked sense of humor and quick wit that made travel adventures so much fun.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Phil, in 2022 and her dear grandson, Joshua, in 2005. She is survived by her sons, Steve Perry, Rodney (Jane) Jacobson, and her daughter Jodee (Russ) Fields. Also survived by much-loved grandchildren, Mark, Brock, Brittany and Elisha; 9 wonderful great-grandchildren and 5 step-children.

Special thanks Ronnie Legg and Barbara Burgess for their love, care and much appreciated efforts to assist Phil and Arlene and family during the past years. To Mt. Olympus Rehabilitation Center and Suncrest Hospice, for the care she received.

A very special thanks to her aides, Jasmine Trujillo, who catered to her every need, and Terry Miller, who shared her last dance.
