Amanda Wright

Amanda Ann Wright is back in the arms of her loving dad, a true daddy's girl. She couldn't be without him any longer. She embraced her dad on January 1, 2026.

Amanda was born May 6, 1979, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Louis Raymond and Sandra Boehme Wright. Amanda grew up in West Jordan and Bluffdale, Utah with two younger brothers.

Amanda has two beautiful daughters, Kazlynn and Amanda, whom she loves with her whole heart. Amanda loved her family with every fiber of her body. She had a strong, independent, and spicy personality, which some may even describe as pushy.

In Amanda's youth, she fell in love with the great outdoors, enjoying many hikes with her dad, aunt, and her brothers. As she grew, she loved being outdoors, going camping, swimming, and soaking in hot springs. She loved exploring the beauty and wonders of the world and wanted to visit and see it all. She even worked for a short time as a truck driver to see more of the world. However, she couldn't finish training because she missed her daughter too much -- the love she had for Jr. was worth more than seeing the world.

Her next passion entered our lives not long after, when Kazlynn arrived. Amanda knew this young girl needed to be a part of our family, and Amanda worked hard to make it official in April 2019. We couldn't be more grateful to Amanda for giving us the gift of Kazlynn.

Amanda had a passionate relationship with music. Songs would speak to her on a whole new level, and she would have to share the ones that were talking to her that day with her loved ones. She would also share songs with you that reminded her of you. Amanda's idea of a perfect day was to go on a long drive with her girls, listening to and singing along with music.

Amanda was a very talented artist. We are so blessed to have some of her artwork. Often, we had to save and hide her art before she could throw them out, because to her it was just something to do, and now it was done, there was no need to keep it. We saw the actual beauty in her work and kept all we could.

Amanda had a great sense of humor and found joy in all the things life had to offer. Her smile, laughs, and jokes will be greatly missed. We will cherish her life and memory forever.

Amanda is survived by her daughters, Kazlynn and Amanda Wright; her mother, Sandra Wright; her brothers, Thomas (Nicolette) and Gordon (Maria); and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceded in death by her father, Ray Wright, grandparents Earl and Marie Wright, Bud and Norma Boehme, Aunt Linda Blosh, Uncle Kenny Blosh, Uncle Robert Stuessi, and her cousin, Hunter Burke.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, with a visitation an hour beforehand, 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorville, Utah.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
