Amanda was born on March 26, 1986, to Michael Craig (Mike) and Catherine (Cathy) Coffman Larsen in Murray, Utah. Awaiting her arrival were her older siblings Rebecca Jennifer Larsen and Eric Michael Larsen.
Amanda's first word was "play". She never wanted to miss out on the fun with family and her many friends. She loved to dance, traveling to many states for competitions and performances.
Amanda had a life-long love of learning and service. She earned a bachelor's degree in medical administration. Later she also received a bachelor's degree in nursing. Amanda worked for many years for U Health and Huntsman Cancer. Amanda's nursing career led her to helping cancer patients, while she too was battling cancer.
Amanda married Jeremy Trevor Reitz and together they had the joys of her life, Kyle Trenton Reitz (17), Lily Joy Reitz (14) and Isabelle Amelia Reitz (10). Cheering for the children's success in soccer, dance, and school was a highlight for Amanda. Kyle said, "Mom taught me how to make the best brownies." Lily said, "Mom is the most Christ-like person I know." Izzy recalls, "Mom was always at my dance performances making certain my hair and make-up were perfect".
After the marriage to Jeremy ended, she met and married T Sterling Shawn Hamner, Jr, adding another layer of family who loved her.
After her cancer diagnosis, Amanda developed the skill of crocheting. She made animals, emotional support pickles, and blankets for those she loved. During this time, Amanda gained an increased ability to reach out and serve others.
In her final days, she was surrounded by family and friends, Whitney and Morgan. Amanda passed away on June 16, 2026.
Amanda is survived by her husband, T; her children Kyle, Lily, and Izzy; her parents; siblings; a grandmother; and myriads of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends who all loved her and will miss her very much.
The family would like to express profound appreciation to the staff of U Health and Huntsman Cancer for their years of service and friendship.
Funeral services will be at the Summer Crest Ward, 8945 South 1700 East, Sandy, Utah at 11:00am on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah at 2:30 pm.
