Allen Jay Tischner, 86, of West Valley City, Utah, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loving family on September 26, 2018. Born March 17, 1932, in Bennion, Utah to Arnold Wayne and Eva Beckstead Tischner. Jay grew up and attended school in Bennion, Utah after which he served in the Air Force. He married Wilda Harris from Ohio on August 16, 1957 and they had four children: Cheryl (Dennis) Cordner, Van Wayne Tischner, Brenda Michele Johnson (deceased) and Brian Jay Tischner. Jay is survived by his wife; three children; sister Ila Rae Petersen; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; 1 daughter; and 2 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 1, 2018, 12:00 noon at Taylorsville 25th Ward, 4505 Brians Way (3420 West), West Valley City, Utah, where a viewing will precede services from 10:00-11:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
