Lynn Darling

August 24, 1944 — November 20, 2019

Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend of West Jordan, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2019 at 75 years of age of complications of Alzheimer’s. Aaron Lynn Darling was born August 24, 1944 to Alvah Ned and Gladys Terry Darling in Lehi, Utah.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and waterskiing. Growing up he spent time between Long Beach, California and Orem, Utah. He had many hobbies including photography, raising and training Vizsla dogs, reloading ammunition for target practice and spending time outdoors.

He married Elizabeth Susan Gillian on April 25th, 1962. He was a highly skilled auto body repair technician. As a hobby, he and Susan would repair old cars; he would repair and paint the body and she would reupholster the interior. They took pride in their home in West Jordan and enjoyed their time at their property in Bear Lake until her passing in 1996.

In 1997 Lynn married Janet Lee Greene-Darling after a 50-year friendship and they began their life together. They enjoyed spending time at Huntsville Eagles camp ground with his brother Larry and his wife DuNan Darling and entertaining family and friends in their home in West Jordan. He especially enjoyed spending time at Virgs restaurant and the comradery he found with his café buddies.

Lynn was the type of guy you could call at a minute’s notice and he’d be there to help you do just about anything. A skilled tradesman, he was self-taught and always eager to learn and try new things. He taught both his daughters how to handle firearms and develop an appreciation for guns.
