William "Bill" Alexander Ware III

April 17, 1952 — May 11, 2017

Our beloved father, grandfather (papa), son, brother, uncle, and friend, William "Bill" Alexander Ware III, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 13, 2017. He was born in Whittier, California on April 17, 1952 to Mary Elaine Bowen and William Alexander Ware II. After graduating High School, he served 4 years in the Air Force. He married Teri Baker in 1973 (later divorced). In 1978 he served an LDS mission in London, England (south mission). In 1981 he married Laura LeVan (later divorced) and adopted Bruce Ewald. He retired working as a school teacher for the Granite School District, teaching Special Education. During his career he strived to make a difference and truly cared about his students. He had a strong testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved and lived for his Family and the Gospel. His grandkids were his greatest joy. He was passionate about all sports, especially the Utah Jazz. He played the French horn. He loved to draw and was very creative. When he was still able to get around he enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing and taking his grandkids on adventures. Bill is survived by his mother; 2 sisters, Susan & Julie; son Bruce (Jennifer) Ewald; 4 grandchildren: Jake, Emily, Nathan and Sara. He is preceded in death by his father. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 30th at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams Rd, Riverton, UT. A graveside service will follow the funeral. Our family would like to thank Symbii Hospice for caring so lovingly and patiently for Bill the last months of his life.
