Sandra Hayward, loving mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and aunt, age 64, passed away peacefully at her home in West Valley City, Utah on Monday, February 19, 2018. She was born February 28, 1953, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Robert and Marian Hayward. Sandra was raised in Granger, Utah with her sisters, Susan and Tamra, and graduated from Granger High School in 1971. Sandra married Richard Fabert in 1972 and had two sons, Brandon and Colby Fabert. She later divorced and raised her sons in Magna and West Jordan. While her sons were in high school, she was always known as the mom who fed the neighborhood. It was often impossible to leave her home without enjoying a home cooked meal. Sandra will always be remembered by her vast personality, immense sense of humor, and her loving and caring heart that wanted nothing more than to take care of anyone in need. Sandra had a passion for horses, fishing with her father, and taking care of others. Sandra retired from The State of Utah after many years of employment with The Department of Workforce Services where she made many lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Brandon Fabert; and father Robert Hayward. She is survived by her son, Colby Fabert; mother, Marian Hayward; two sisters, Susan Hayward and Tamra (David) Popelmayer; two grandchildren, Quinn Fabert and Tate Fabert; and lots of nieces and nephews whom she cherished like her own children. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 23, 2018, 10:30 a.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road, where a viewing will be held prior to services from 9:15-10:15 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park. Place of Birth:Salt Lake City, UtahPlace of Death:West Valley City, Utah
