Rulon D. Sylvester

Rulon Duane Sylvester, affectionately known as "Teeny" or "Stretch", passed away September 13, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Rulon was born October 12, 1938 to Molly and Jay Sylvester in Richfield, Utah. He graduated from Marysvale High and attended Dixie College on a basketball scholarship. He married his sweetheart, JoAnn James September 7, 1956. He was a valuable employee of Cuban Cigar for 42 years. Jody and Rulon were blessed with two children, Debra Ann and Craig Rulon. After the death of their daughter, they became the parents of her children: Tiffany, Chris, Anthony and Tyler. Rulon is survived by his wife, Jody; son, Craig (Michell); 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren (one on the way); sisters, Margery (Jay) and Linda. Preceded in death by daughter, Debbie; parents; brother, Dick; brother-in-law, Milton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church, 4505 South Brian's Way (3420 W.). Viewings will be held Friday, September 19, 2014, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Marysvale Cemetery.
