Nada Macdonald Dautrich

Nada Macdonald Dautrich 1922 ~ 2015 On August 27, 2015, Nada Macdonald Dautrich passed away peacefully in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born to Nathaniel Ashby and Camilla Lee Macdonald in Salt Lake City on May 19, 1922. Her childhood years were spent in Mesa, Arizona. She told many wonderful stories about her life on a farm with her parents, three brothers, and her favorite dog, Bood. She served in the Women's Army Corp at Bushnell Hospital during World War II where she met her future husband. She married Claude William (Bill) Dautrich on December 15, 1945, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member to the LDS Church where she served as Primary teacher, Cub Scout Den leader, a Young Women's Leader and as a Relief Society President. Nada was an avid reader and storyteller with many interests. She was a member of the Symphony Singers Choir. She was a very creative and talented artist. She attended Utah Technical School where she refined her skills and became an exceptional seamstress. Nada is preceded in death by parents, brothers, and her beloved husband, Bill. Survived by her 5 children, Marilyn, Ann, Susan, Bill and Rosemary, as well as an honorary daughter, Becky; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. She celebrated and lived life on her own terms. She had a remarkable sense of humor and she will be missed. Graveside services will be held Tuesday September 1, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at The Utah Veterans Memorial Park at Camp Williams.
