Margaret Checknita Buttars

After a short battle with lung cancer, Margaret passed away in her home in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 21, 2015. Born December 21, 1929 to Walter Checknita and Mary Malsky of Edmonton, Alberta Canada. She married Royal Keith Buttars October 27, 1953. She was a member of the LDS Church. She was a pretty lady, loved to dress nice, and enjoyed tai chai. She loved her grandsons very much, and spending time with them. She is preceded in death by parents; husband; son Shaun John Buttars; brother Ronald; sisters Lucy, Pauline and Sophie. Survived by grandsons Michael John and Christian Glade Buttars (and their mother, Jennifer Jacobs); niece Theresa Heamon. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Olympus Ward, 4635 South Lanark Road (3315 E.), where a visitation with family and friends will be held, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment will take place following services at 3:00 p.m. at the Clarkston Cemetery, Clarkston, Utah.
