Lucille Latta

Our loving mother and grandmother, Lucille Peck Latta, age 95, passed away peacefully Sept. 23, 2017, surrounded by her family. Born Nov. 2, 1921, daughter of George Russ and Betsy Lovenia Zundel Peck. She married Robert Francis Latta in June of 1944, in Las Vegas, Nev. He preceded her in death. Mom was a member of the LDS Church. For 35 years she worked as a tube inspector for Varian. She was a very caring person who loved visiting with her sisters, other family members and friends, and was a diligent supporter of her children and grandchildren's sports activities. Mom was a jokester, and loved holidays. Mom is survived by her children, Robert (Sandi) Chatterton, Clyde (Jane) Latta, Robin (Carl) Salazar, and Rusty (Flossie) Latta; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Verda, Betty, LaVon, and Nancy. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert; daughter, Kay; grandson, Roman; sisters, Dean, Vera, and Dorothy; and brothers, Russell, Grant, and Tom. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 28, 11 a.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road, where viewings will be held Wednesday, 6 to 8 p,.m., and again Thursday 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment - Redwood Memorial Estates.
