Lila Jean Neilson Sorenson

Lila Toni Jean Neilson Sorenson, age 85 of West Valley City, Utah, died on her birthday, November 15, 2017. She was born November 15, 1932 in Salt Lake City to Clarence Johanna Nielson. She married Burke Sorenson in Elko, Nevada who preceded her in death. Their children include Sherry Slaugh (Frank), David Sorenson, Tammie Wood, Jeff Sorenson (Sheri). Preceded in death by children Rod Sorenson and Gary Sorenson. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Surviving siblings include Margie Wall and Linda Timothy. She was a wonderful wife and the sweetest mother anyone could ask for. She was a homemaker, and was an outstanding cook. She had a dry wit and a wry sense of humor that endeared her to everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Cemetery in West Valley City.
