Kathryn Odekirk Laramie

Our beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 2, 2015. Kathryn was born December 17, 1922 in Duchesne, Utah to Ernest and Gladys Odekirk. She married Charles Laramie, the love of her life on September 16, 1947; marriage later solemnized in the Los Angeles California Temple. Kathryn loved camping, dancing, and was an avid LA Dodgers fan and JAZZ fan. Kathryn worked in the medical field much of her life and was involved in DAV and donated much of her time to charity. She had various callings in the LDS church. Survived by son Gary (Wendy); brother, Stan Odekirk; sister, Ernitta Robins; grandchildren Alexis (Austin) Wilson, and Gracie. Preceded in death by her loving husband; parents; brothers Bill & Bob Odekirk; sisters, Mary Kerr and Cuba Anderson. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Carrington Court and the neighbors and friends of the Taylorsville 15th Ward for their tender and loving care. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2015, 11:00 a.m., at the Taylorsville 15th Ward, 1457 West Atherton Avenue, first building. Viewings will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2015, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and at the church, Wednesday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
