Jesse Robert Ortega

Jesse R. Ortega at the age of 88, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2015 with his daughters, grandchildren and brother Albert, and most importantly, his sweetheart by his side. Jess was born January 17, 1927 to Sarah Ortega and Joesph Ortega in Garland Utah. He married his sweetheart, Virginia May Reese (Virg) on February 28, 1946. Jess is survive by his wife Virginia and four daughters, Sarah (Mike) Choate, Barbara Dennis, Debbie (James) Fetzer, Janice (Ken) Nelson; 14 Grandchildren; 27 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren; his Sisters, Mary Gaiten, TV Katter, Lola Allen, Rosie Wall , Angie Naigle. Jess was preceded in death by brothers John and Tony Ortega, sisters Vincenta Ramirez, Josephine Cowen, Lupe Macias. Jess loved his work as a construction Supervisor and laid concrete thru out the state of Utah. The Family would like to thank all the Caregivers at RM Hunter Hollow and the Hospice Care givers. Funeral services for Jess will be held on Friday January 30, 2015 at noon at the L.D.S. Chapel, Granger 10th Ward, 3276 South 2800 West, West Valley City, Utah. Family and Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville Utah and at the church on Friday morning from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment: Riverton City Cemetery, 13200 South 1500 West. We love you forever Dad, Grandpa Jess and Grandpa Great.
