Jennie Mae Ashby Ewell June 14, 1931 - October 18, 2017 86 years young Mae was born in Fillmore, Utah to Truman and Lucille Day Ashby. She attended school in Fillmore and graduated from Millard High School. She then moved to Salt Lake City for work, where she met and married Robert J. Ewell, (deceased), the love of her life and best friend. They spent 60 years together. They raised two daughters; Lorraine Dingman and Kathy Burch, (deceased). She is survived by: a brother, Bill Ashby; her daughter, Lorraine Dingman; six granddaughters, Danita Stead, Melissa Aldrich, Angela Hicks, Candice Walker, Nikki Harris, and Jennifer Thompson. She also has 14 great grandchildren. Mae and Bob loved to travel. They visited all the contiguous states in the U.S. and Hawaii. They loved to travel in their motorhome as active members in the Good Sam Club. Mae has returned to heaven to meet her husband Bob and daughter Kathy as well as her parents and grandparents. Her service will be held at the McDougal Mortuary on Monday, October 23, 2017. The viewing will begin at 9:00 am with the service starting at 10:00 am. It will be a celebration of Mae's life. Anyone who wishes to talk about their connection to Mae will be welcome to speak. The pallbearers will be as follows: Andy Thompson, Jason Stead, Rob Aldrich, Bill Hicks, Norman Dingman, and Jerron Stead. After the service we will travel to Fillmore to lay her to rest next to her husband. She will be sadly missed; however, we all know that she is happy to be reunited with her loved ones.
