Ethel Lenore Hurst Ellett

December 29, 1927 — May 24, 2016

Our sweet mother returned to her heavenly home early Tuesday morning after living a long life. She was a wonderful, loving and giving woman who found great joy in her family and friends. She fulfilled her dream of having a large posterity which she created with her sweetheart, Kenneth W. Ellett. They were sealed in the LDS Logan Temple on July 3, 1946 and were married for 65 years. She dearly loved all her family and had a keen memory of family ties and genealogy. Her legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her excitement for planning family reunions and get-togethers, her passion for taking pictures, her beautiful poetry and paintings, her collection of dolls, her activity in the DUP, her many callings in her ward and her "Wait! Just one more thing." She will be greatly missed by those who loved her. Thank you for showing us the importance of family! Preceded in death by her husband; son, David; grandson, Brandon; parents, Ralph and Hazel Hurst; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Survived by her children: Suzanne (Ron) Veazie, Kae (Rikk) Davis, Mark (Evelyn), Floree (Val) Jenkins, and Franceen (Ken) Gates; 31 grandchildren; 94 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Claudia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Words cannot express how grateful we are to the Beehive Home of Herriman for their kind and loving care given to our mother and also to the doctors and nurses at the U of U Hospitals.
