Denece Coffman Kelshaw

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Denece Coffman Kelshaw, age 78, of Orem, Utah, passed away November 23, 2015, in Highland Utah. Denece was born in Spanish Fork, Utah, on July 30, 1937, to Glenn W. and Elizabeth Frances Ross Coffman. She was raised in Springville, Utah, the youngest of three siblings. She graduated from Springville High School in 1955, and then attended Utah State University where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. After graduating she taught school in Dugway, Utah, where she met Robert W. Kelshaw. They were married December 30, 1960, in Springville, Utah; they later divorced. She was a stay-at-home mom and volunteer Pink Lady at Utah Valley Hospital while her children were growing up and eventually went to work as a cashier for Brigham Young University. After she retired from BYU, she volunteered at the local elementary helping kids learn to read, and was a temple worker at the Mount Timpanogos Temple. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her passion. She attended every event they were involved in as long her health would allow, and loved spending time with them any time she could. Denece is survived by her two sons, Steven Kelshaw and Dean (Cristal) Kelshaw; six grandchildren, Joshua Kelshaw, Ashley (Cade) Parke, Tasha Kelshaw, Carson Kelshaw, Keenan Kelshaw and Tally Kelshaw; and four great-grandchildren, Amaria Kelshaw, Nya Kelshaw, Ryan Parke and Davin Parke. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Glenn Coffman; and sister, Margaret Arness. A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at the Orem Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, in Orem, Utah.
