Delores "Dee" Wood Wilson

Delores "Dee" Wood Wilson was born November 10, 1929, in Murray, Utah, to James H. and Alice Parker Wood. She married Jack Gehring Wilson on April 2, 1948. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on September 25, 1968. Jack preceded her in death on April 11, 1993. Dee passed away September 11, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Dee was a devoted and loving wife and mother. Her family and friends meant everything to her. She had a fun loving personality and was known for her kindness. She was the caregiver for her parents and husband for many years. Dee loved to read as well as to sew and quilt for her family. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings. Dee was employed in the Granite School District school lunch program and by National Semi-Conductor. She is survived by her children Donna (Kim) Bodell, Sandy Park, and David (Debbie) Wilson; as well as 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Webster; brother, Frank (Sheila) Wood; sister-in-law, Norma Wood; and aunt, Zelpha Simons. Dee was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Glen H. Wood; son-in-law, Terry Park; and brother-in-law, Jerry Webster. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where viewings will be held Friday, Sept. 15th, 6-8:00 p.m. and again Saturday 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
