DeeAnn Butler

DeeAnn Butler was born on September 25th. 1953 to Thayne and Nola Hansen in Salt Lake City Utah. DeeAnn passed away October 12th in Murray Utah surrounded by all her loved ones. DeeAnn is survived by her amazing husband; Darwin; daughters, Stephanie, and Lisa (Jason); sons, Brady (Tiana), and Jason (Marshelle); and grandchildren, Brennen, Ryan, Ellie, Ashton, McKaylee, Bradley, Briana, Karson and Baylee. She is also survived by her brother, Tod Hansen (Robyn); and sisters, Suzette, and Naoma. DeeAnn grew up in Taylorsville, Utah.DeeAnn had what she called a great childhood. She grew up in a big family and enjoyed all of her siblings. When she was afraid of the dog on the way to school she would call on her little brother Todd for protection. When she wanted to do something fun she would always call on her two sisters. And when she wanted a laugh she could always call on her little brother Jess As an adult DeeAnn worked several types of jobs for many different businesses. She owned her own Reception center in Midvale Utah, and operated other businesses across the Salt LakeValley. DeeAnn worked in Amway with her brother Jess, and sold many different health products with several family members. DeeAnn was able to succeed in anything she set her mind to. Customers and co workers enjoyed her hard work ethic and unique outgoing personality DeeAnn took pride in being what she called a go getter. She stressed positive thinking and would be quick to tell you if your attitude stunk. She was headstrong and knew what she wanted all the times. She was able to make a decision and quickly act on it. She was also a bit of a perfectionist and would let you know if something didn't meet her expectations. DeeAnn became a fantastic cook and entertainer in her 30's. She loved to host holiday and birthday parties at her home in West Jordan Utah. She was known for her prime rib, baked beans and stuffed mushrooms. She was never afraid of trying something new and passed these skills down to her kids. DeeAnn loved to travel, she had the opportunity to travel all around the west coast and went on several trips to Canada and Mexico. She loved to go with Darwin in her RV and always looked forward to her annual trip to Phoenix to see her grandchildren for the holidays. DeeAnn could find a positive side of each place she visited and would tell us all how she would like to live here or there for the experience and the different people. DeeAnn was an animal lover. She would share ice cream with her dogs and treat them like family members. She spent a lot of time watching animal planet because her dog wanted to bark at the animals on TV. DeeAnn had a bright spirit. She loved telling stories about her childhood and loved being around her Mom and Dad. She loved goofing off and acting crazy with her brothers and sisters. DeeAnn struggled with her health over the last 20 years. She overcame a lot of illness and surgeries but unfortunately passed too soon. She kept a strong faith in God and always referred to scripture and prayer when she was having any type of struggle. DeeAnn was preceded in death by her Mom, Dad, and brother Jess Hansen. She mentioned several times how much she looked forward to being with them again DeeAnn will be missed by all of us until we see her again.
