David Lloyd Helm

David Lloyd Helm, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 3, 2017. David grew up in Smoot, Wyoming and was the oldest of 7. Growing up, David loved the outdoors and hunting. David married the love of his life, Peggy Erickson on September 2, 1960 in the Idaho Falls Temple. As an adult, David loved spending his time coaching sports and making unforgettable memories with his family. David had a heart of gold, going out of his way to help family, friends, or complete strangers and will be greatly missed. David is survived by his wife Peggy Helm; daughter Tammy Litsheim; daughter-in-law Lori Helm; brothers, Dee, Bill & Rex Helm; sister Brenda Prudent. He is preceded in death by his son David Shane Helm; mother and father, Bill & Carol Helm; brother Lee Helm; and sister Carolyn Bowers. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 8th, 11:00 a.m., at the Mackay Meadows Wardlocated at 2976 West 4270 South. Viewings will be held Wednesday, June 7th. 6-8:00 p.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and again prior to services at the church on Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
