Connie Gayle Wilson Morrell, 74, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, was reunited with her forever sweetheart, Stan, on Monday, August 21, 2017. She left this mortal world surrounded by her adoring family. Connie was born the daughter of Gayln Calvert and Wanda Fay Gurney Wilson on December 26, 1942, in Lehi, Utah. She graduated from Lehi High School and continued her education by completing cosmetology school. On July 20, 1962, she married the love of her life, Stanley Hiette Morrell, in the Manti LDS Temple. Connie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of her life. Connie loved her opportunities to serve in the church and did so with a pure love and sweetness that only she could bring. Connie was everything a mother could and should ever be. She had the ability to make each child, grandchild, and great-grandchild feel and know of her unconditional love for them specifically. Connie exuded happiness and wanted nothing more than for her family to be happy and enjoy life. The very most important thing in Connie's life was her family, immediate and extended alike. She is survived by adoring daughter, Susan (Randy) Nelson; loving sons, Alan (Rita) Morrell, and Gayln (Beth) Morrell; three previous daughters-in-law whom she loved dearly, Shelly Bingham Morrell, Jennie Oostyen Flores, and Jennifer Garrett Scovill; 18 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren; brothers, Neal (Karen) Wilson, and Mark (Beverly) Wilson; sisters, Sharon (Eric) Anderton, and Janet (Layne) Mangum; brothers-in-law, William (Carolyn) Morrell, Walter (Pat) Morrell, Paul (Janna) Morrell, Philip Morrell, John (Melissa) Morrell, Joseph Morrell, Shaun (Angie) Morrell, Thomas Morrell, and Jonathan Morrell; sister-in-law, Katherine (Joe) Craighead. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband and loving companion of 53 years, Stanley Hiette Morrell; her beloved mother, Wanda Gurney Wilson; father, Gayln Calvert Wilson; father- in-law, Arlin Hiette Morrell; mothers-in-law, Hazel Janet Gomm Morrell, and Gwendolyn Charlotte Lauritzen Morrell Westover; brothers- in-law, Steven Morrell, Stevie Jones, Matthew Morrell, and Richard Morrell; and sister-in-law, Rebecca Morrell. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 26th, 11:00 a.m., at the Taylorsville 19th Ward LDS Chapel, 2030 W. Chateau Ave (5225 S). Viewings will be held, Friday, August 25th, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville,UT, and prior to services at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
