Bonnie Mae Merrill Warr Ashworth

September 2, 1938 — April 13, 2017

Bonnie Mae, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away in the comfort of her home on April 13, 2017 with her family by her side. She was born September 2, 1938 to Lester Hewlitt and Florence Eustance Merrill in Murray, Utah. Bonnie married Stanley Lynn Warr in November 1959 (later divorced/deceased) together they had two children, Lezlie and Dean. She later married Ralph Ashworth in July 1993, and they experienced many memorable adventures during their time together. Bonnie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she was always ready to lend a helping hand and comfort when needed. Bonnie took on a very important role as a homemaker and her family became the highlight of her life. She was a marvelous example of love and service to others, always putting their needs before her own. She loved gardening and any task that would keep her outdoors until day's end. If she wasn't working out in the sun, she was basking in its warmth giving herself that beautiful sun kissed glow she was famous for. Bonnie lived for her children and grandchildren, seizing any opportunity to support their many endeavors. Her greatest desire was to see them happy. Bear Lake was Bonnie's home away from home where many memories will forever be cherished. Bonnie valiantly battled breast cancer for nearly eight years and never complained. She was always ready with a smile and kept a positive attitude in spite of multiple chemo and radiation treatments as the cancer spread throughout her body. The family appreciates the oncology support provided by the doctors and staff at Utah Cancer Specialists and the service provided by CNS Hospice in her final days. Bonnie loved people, and those that met her always admired her kindness and happy nature. She is survived by her husband Ralph, children Lezlie (Gordon) Sanders, Dean (Lalani) Warr, grandchildren Kelsie Warr, Brennen Warr, Kaylee Warr, Mercedes (Chad) Cannon, McKenzie Sanders, great-grandchild Taylor Cannon, step-children Dan (Suzanne) Ashworth, Don (Cindy) Ashworth, Lorie Ashworth, step-grandchildren Logan, Casey, Brandon, Tyler, Nathan, Alayna, Konrad, Afton, Kaitlin and loving brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family whom she loved dearly.
