Andrew Jed Larsen "Andy"

February 8, 1984 — June 28, 2017

Andrew Jed Larsen left this earth too soon on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the age of 33. Andy was born on February 8, 1984 to Jed and Lisa Larsen in Salt Lake City, Utah. Andy had a true appreciation and deep rooted passion for the outdoors. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding, razor riding, and camping with his children, family, and friends. He was an extremely caring and compassionate man. He was always the first person to volunteer to help others on hunts, pour concrete, and anything mechanical. Every task presented to Andy was done with 100% effort and craftsmanship and most of it with his son, Trayce, by his side. Andy was a hard working and loyal employee at Granger/Hunter Improvement District for 12 years. He was a well respected Supervisor and highly exemplified by his co-workers. Above all, Andy was first and foremost a wonderful, loving, and devoted father and took immense pride in every one of his three children. Andy was a father who always involved himself in every detail of his children's lives and would do absolutely anything for them. He was extremely passionate about the safety and well being of his children and was an amazing role model and teacher. He would always answer Trayce's questions and his daughter's questions with honesty, love, and accountability. He had, and will continue to have, a profound influence in the lives of his children, and was and always will be a hero in their eyes. In the words of his son, Trayce, Hero's get remembered, but legends never die. My Dad, my hero, my best friend. Andy is predeceased by his Grandfather, Garry Larsen. He is survived by his parents, Jed and Lisa; his brother, Nick (wife Madison, daughter Karter); his son, Trayce (10); and two daughters Raegan (7) and Gracelynn (4). He is also survived by his Grandparents, Jerry and Sharlene Anderson; and his Yia Yia , Stella Larsen, as well as many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and colleagues. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 7, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, UT, where viewings will be held Thursday, July 6th, 6-8:00 p.m. and again prior to services from 1-1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the Larsen family would appreciate donations for Andy's 3 children through the Andrew Jed Larsen Fund at any Zions Bank. The Larsen family has and will continue to stand in the shoes of the children. Now and forever. RIP 333 Place of Birth:Salt Lake City, UtahPlace of Death:Tooele County
